Dr. Liangdong FAN is a professor and doctoral supervisor in chemistry and new Energy technology at the School of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, Shenzhen University. He received B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Hunan University in 2008, M.S. & PhD degree in Chemical Technology from Tianjin University (China) in 2012, and another Ph.D degree in Energy Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Sweden) in 2014. His research focuses on key technologies in hydrogen and low-carbon energy conversion, with an emphasis on fundamental research and applied development of high-temperature fuel cells and electrolyzers. He engages in the development of surface and interface catalytic functional materials and catalysts, device fabrication, and related reaction mechanisms. To date, he has published over 120 SCI-indexed papers in journals such as Nat Cataly, Energy Environ Sci, Electrochem Energy Rev, Adv. Funct Mater., Appl Catal B, Chem Sci, and Sci China Mater. He has been consistently ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide for both " Career-long Impact" and "single year Impact". He serves on the Young Editorial Board members for Energy Materials, Rare Metals, and Energy & Environmental Materials, and concurrently serves as the lead guest editor of the special issue of Rare Metals titled "Solid Oxide Cells for Carbon Neutrality" (since June 2024). He also serves as a correspondence reviewer for Nat Commun, JACS, Angewandte Chemie, Advanced Materials, Joule, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Science, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, Nano Energy, ACS Catalysis, and Nano-Micro Letter.
