Khaled Galal Ahmed is a Professor and the Coordinator of Architectural Graduate Programs at the Architectural Engineering Department, UAE University. Prof. Khaled got his PhD from the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, UK. He worked as an architect and urban designer for several years. His research interest is in the fields of Sustainable and Resilient Architecture and Urbanism. He published his research in international journals, conference proceedings, edited books, and book chapters. He has supervised several Master’s and PhD theses. He has also published several articles and interviews in local and regional media. He has been honored for his contributions by the Minister of Happiness and Wellbeing, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, Al Ain Municipality, Fujairah Municipality, Directorate of Planning and Survey in Sharjah, etc. Prof. Khaled has recently won the UAEU Chancellor’s Innovation Award, College of Engineering Excellence Award, the UAE University Excellence Award and Sharjah Sustainability Award.
