Tao Wang received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Zhejiang University, China, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He served as a Research Fellow in Advanced Robotics Center, National University of Singapore, Singapore. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in Ocean College, Zhejiang University. His research interests include energy-efficient mechatronics and marine energy harvesting. He has undertaken more than 20 scientific research projects as project leader. He contributed more than 40 SCI-indexed journal publications as the first author or corresponding author. He applied for more than 20 invention patents, some of which have been granted. He received several best paper awards or finalist awards in international conferences. He is a senior member of IEEE and CMES. He serves as Associate Editor of IEEE Access and member of Youth Editorial Board of International Journal of Hydro mechatronics.
