Dr. Elavarasan E. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at ACS College of Engineering, Bangalore. He holds a PhD in Solar Thermal Engineering from NIT Puducherry, an M.E. in Thermal Engineering from VMKV Engineering College, and a B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering from VSB Engineering College. With over 10 years of teaching and research experience, he has contributed significantly to the fields of solar thermal technology and aerospace engineering. He has 25 research publications, including SCI, Q1, and Q2 indexed journals, along with six Scopus-indexed book chapters and journals. He also holds four granted patents, including three design patents and one conceptual patent, which was developed during his PhD. Dr. Elavarasan has secured research funding, notably from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India, leading to the development of a solar dryer that was handed over to local communities by Hon. Minister Nitin Gadkari during NIT Puducherry’s convocation. His contributions extend beyond research, as he has organized six national and international programs, including two international conferences, one national conference, two national-level technical symposiums, and a national cultural festival named Sambarama. Additionally, he has delivered guest lectures at prestigious institutions like SRM University Chennai and Sri Vasavi Engineering College, Hyderabad, covering topics in aerospace engineering, entrepreneurship, and research advancements. Dr. Elavarasan is a lifelong member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and actively engages in promoting research, technical education, and innovation.
