Dr. Salomeh Chegini is an environmental and energy engineering specialist with a multidisciplinary background in petrochemical engineering, biorefinery, and sustainable infrastructure. She holds a PhD in Environmental Applied Science and Management, with a focus on methane production from wastewater sludge, and possesses extensive expertise in waste-to-energy technologies, anaerobic digestion, and bio-based solutions for climate-resilient infrastructure. Her work bridges biotechnological innovations, renewable energy systems, and industrial process optimization to support sustainable development in the energy and environmental sectors. Dr. Chegini has collaborated with both industry and academia in various capacities, including as a lecturer, researcher, project manager, and consultant. She is an active member of several professional organizations, such as the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the Water Environment Federation (WEF), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Dr. Chegini has received numerous awards and scholarships and has presented at international conferences on bioenergy, the circular economy, and climate resilience.
