Professor Dr. Mohamed AlShami is an accomplished academic leader and expert in Energy Economics with over 30 years of experience in higher education and strategic management. He currently serves as the Vice Chancellor for Academic, Administrative, and Financial Affairs at the University of Fujairah, UAE. Throughout his career, Prof. AlShami has held prominent leadership roles at institutions such as Ajman University and Al Qasimia University, where he has spearheaded the expansion of academic programs, fostered international partnerships, and contributed to the development of entrepreneurship and innovation hubs. Prof. AlShami holds a Ph.D. in Mineral and Energy Economics from Colorado School of Mines, USA, and has been a key advisor on national energy policies. He has received multiple accolades, including the Distinguished Global Scholar Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award. His extensive academic and professional background spans teaching, research, and consultancy, with a focus on energy economics, environmental policies, and business transformation. In addition to his academic achievements, he has served on various boards.
