Bogdan Ćwik

Dr. habil. Eng. Bogdan Ćwik, ScD, is a professor at the Faculty of Security, Logistics, and Management at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland. His scientific experience focuses on broadly understood security, including ecological and energy security. He specializes in the functioning of low-emission and autonomous energy supply systems, including hybrid microgrids, as well as ecological solutions for the Earth, such as "green planet," "green city," and "green railway."
His professional experience includes projects related to low-emission, autonomous, and intelligent systems for supplying thermal energy and water for military and civilian systems in crisis situations. He is a member of the World Geothermal Organization, the Polish Geothermal Association, and the Polish Heat Pump Association.
Professor Ćwik is the author and co-author of 12 monographs and 90 scientific articles. He has been the leader and participant in 42 research and development projects and has participated in and presented papers at 49 international and national conferences.
Currently, he is involved in research and project work within the Rail4EARTH project, which is a joint initiative of 76 partners from various European countries, including major railway operators. Within this project, he is the leader of the subtask "Heating and Domestic Hot Water Supply System for a Modular and Low-Emission Station for Europe." This station is intended to be a model and demonstrator of future "green" solutions in the area of railway stations in Europe.
